Shin Megami Tensei V Shows off the Nahobino

By William "Shadowz" KokSeptember 8, 2021

In the newest trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V, ATLUS reveals more in regards to what you the player have become. A Nahobino, a foresaken God.

As hinted in prior trailers, when the main character is in trouble with the demons we see an unknown god named Aogami granting him the power to survive. The main chain then becomes a forsaken god known as a Nahobino. We then see more traversal of the Netherworld and how the demons and angels will occupy the world. We then get a deeper look into the combat system. We see the press turn system return again here. We also see new attacks from the demons and angels that you command. As noted, attacks and healing skills can be strengthened further as seen on the attacks as +6 on Catastrophe. Familiar with those who played prior entries or Tokyo Mirage Sessions. We then see the exclusive Nahobino skills like Thalassic Calamity flood attack, the Wrath Temptest, and the Aramasa slash attack.

The trailer finishes with Aogami swearing to protect the player and see that the player decides his fate with no regrets. Though with Shin Megami Tensei, you never know who to trust. The last time a god granted power and immortality from Shin Megami Tensei Apocalypse, we almost got killed for it. So can we trust Aogami? We shall see.

Shin Megami Tensei V will release on November 12 for Nintendo Switch.
