Jack-O to join the Guilty Gear Strive roster

By Ryan EasbyAugust 15, 2021

Guilty Gear Strive fans rejoice! A new character has been revealed for the game and it’s a familiar face; Jack-O.

Earlier today, Arc System Works revealed that fan-favourite character Jack-O will be the newest playable fighter in the Guilty Gear roster. Jack-O is an artificial life form, fused with the protagonist of the game’s former love’s consciousness that can easily overwhelm and defeat her opponent.

Jack-O is a fan favourite and wasn’t originally announced as a member of the Guilty Gear Strive roster. As you can imagine, made quite a few fans of the character not too happy. Thankfully, with the news of Jack-O making her return in Guilty Gear Strive,  all is forgiven. Jack-O isn’t like most characters in Guilty Gear Strive and is definitely a higher calibre character. She uses summons that helps her through her battles and makes for some interesting match-ups. Especially her pressure and corner game, which can melt most players if they make even the minor of mistakes.

Jack-O will be playable from August 27th if you hold the first season pass, and available as an individual purchase on August 30th.

See the trailer for the new fighter below and if you’re interested, why not take a look at our interview with Arc Systems themselves?

Guilty Gear Strive is currently playable on PS4, PS5, PC, and arcades.
