Upgrade to Death Stranding Director’s Cut for just $10

By Keith MitchellJuly 8, 2021
Death Stranding Director's Cut

Upgrade to the PS5 version on the cheap.

Have a copy of Death Standing but wondering if you’ll be able to upgrade to the Death Stranding Director’s Cut? Well, wonder no more as it has been confirmed that you can, in fact, upgrade. If you already own a copy of Death Standing for the PS4, you can upgrade to the Death Stranding Director’s Cut for an additional $10! This includes both the physical and digital versions of Death Stranding for the PS4. Here I was getting ready to throw a hissy fit as I’d have to pay full price all over again – nice one PlayStation!

As for why you’d want to upgrade, do we even have to tell you? The PS5 version will include DualSense haptic feedback support, trigger resistance (I know many of you out there love that), 3D Audio, a performance (upscaled 4K + 60FPS), and resolution mode (4K), and faster loading time, thanks to the PS5’s SSD. Oh, and the new gameplay additions that come with the game, such as enhanced melee combat, a racing mode, new boss fights, more weapons, and more.

Check out the Death Stranding Director’s Cut trailer below to see what other cool additions are included.

Sadly, if you’re like me and played Death Stranding on the PC and you want to play the director’s cut, well, you’re out of luck. So far, there hasn’t been any announcement of Death Stranding Director’s Cut for PC just yet. Sure, it may come to the PC, but at a much later date. If only there were a way to transfer your PC game saves to the PS4/PS5 version.

You can pre-order Death Standing the Director’s Cut on the PlayStation Store right now and releases for the PS5 on September 24th, 2021.
