‘Transformers Rise of the Beasts’ Movie Announced

By Todd BlackJune 22, 2021
Transformers Rise of the Beasts

The ‘Transformers’ line of movies are a very curious thing in Hollywood. Because it started off good, then went really bad, got better, got worse, got a Bumblebee spinoff with John Cena, and now, is going to be heading to the 1990s. Because in a special virtual event, ‘Transformers Rise of the Beasts’ was announced as the 7th film in the franchise, and as the name invokes, the Beast Wars are finally coming to live-action.

“There are different breeds of Transformers,” said director Steven Caple, who last directed Creed II. “In our particular film, they are prehistoric animals who travel through time and space, and we find them here on Earth.”

As for the Maximals, they will indeed be lead by Optimus Primal, who will be a confidant of Prime:

“It makes [Optimus] Prime have a character he can have a philosophical conversation on the same plane. There’s a lot of commonalities they are dealing with, but there is a different perspective they are dealing with.”

As for the villain of the piece, it’ll be Scourge, who is known to take body parts from fallen Transformers and put them on himself.

And before you ask, yes, there will be some human characters, so we’ll have to see how this all goes.
