Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction Pits Players Against Aliens

A big departure from the Tom Clancy games that were all about realism and grounded topics, comes Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Extraction. We heard rumblings about this game, but we know a bit more about this game thanks to the Ubisoft Forward.

In Extraction, 1-3 players will face off again AI-controller creatures, pitted with certain tasks. Fans of Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Siege will see familiar faces as several operators will appear in the game. Every time you play, there are certain risks. For example, if a player fails to reach an extraction point, your team can decide to abandon you and move on. Or risk a daring rescue.

“Take on the lethal and evolving Archaen threat in Rainbow Six Extraction. New gear, new abilities, new strategy. Team up with friends in 3 player co-op, and work together to learn and overcome Rainbow Six’s most dangerous enemy to date. And if one of you goes down in the containment zone, it’s up to you and your teammates to mount a rescue and make sure everyone gets out alive. Who’s Got YouR6?”

As for the aliens, there’s a bunch of those nasty things. From the Rooter, who acts as crowd control and can immobilize players, the Spiker that fires armor-piercing projectiles and causes some real damage to you. There are a few others, which can be seen in the trailer below.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction will support cross-play and cross-save between all platform families on day one. Owners of both Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction will instantly unlock the entire roster of 18 operators in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. They will get the United Front cosmetic bundles in both games.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction releases on September 16th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, and Luna.
