Arcade1UP Officially Reveals The Simpsons Arcade Machine

It’s finally happening after all this time!

After all these years of praying, begging, and other unmentionable things, it’s finally happened – Arcade1UP has finally announced they are working on The Simpsons arcade machine.

Ever since the company started producing mini-arcade machines, they have been picking up several huge licenses—Street Fighter, X-Men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, to name a few. However, the Simpsons arcade game, one that everyone kept asking for, was never part of that group. That is, until now, and I couldn’t be happier. The arcade machine is now (was) mentioned on the Arcade1UP website, and before I go any further, it is pricey. Costing more than most Arcade1UP machines will set you back to the sum of $599.

As for what the price is higher than most other Arcade1UP machines, which is likely due to the features. Not only does it feature 4-player gameplay, but it also includes online gameplay thanks to the WI-FI addition. Not sure if this justifies the price hike, but that’s what it is. My only concern is the available space available for four people. The TMNT arcade cabinet from Arcade1UP was a bit cramped. I hope this isn’t the for this arcade machine.

And while I’d love to tell you more about the arcade machine, Arcade1UP has removed the listing. It likely this wasn’t supposed to be shown yet and was part of their E3 2021 announcement. What I do remember is that the listing started the Simpsons arcade machine would include two games.

We already know what the first game is, but that’s anyone’s guess as for the second game. It could be another Simpsons title or a completely different game. However, judging by that giant trackball on the cabinet, the second game is likely Simpsons Bowling.

For now, we’ll have to wait for E3 2021 to get here and for Arcade1UP to reveal the arcade machine officially. Here’s to hoping the Simpsons isn’t the only surprise they’ll have in store.

Now, what about that Konami Alien arcade machine? I’m still waiting. Are you listening, Arcade1UP?
