You Can Still Farm Legendaries In Outriders After The Update

When People Can Fly released the 1.05 patch notes for Outriders, it was assumed that they also put an end to the legendary item farming methods people used. However, after checking this out for myself, that doesn’t appear to be the case. At least for now, I can still farm with minimum effort, and so can you.

This can be done via the monster hunt questline, which for now is still repeatable. I don’t know if this will remain, so it’s best to take advantage of this before it does actually go away.

Farming outriders legendaries

Farming the Monster Hunt Questline

This works if you haven’t completed the original questline or if you’re repeating the quest. If you did already finish it, be sure to go back and start it by visiting Trench Town. There are 10 monster hunt quests in total, and you won’t be able to finish them all until the entire map is available. This entire process takes under 35 minutes at story World Tier.

Once you have the quest, do the following;

  • Set the World Tier to story if you want to mow through this. The downside, however, is the gear you get at the story WT is worse than the higher WT gear. I’d set it to whatever you’re comfortable with. But if you want an easy time, then story WT works fine.
  • It doesn’t matter which order you do the quests in, but I’d start with the right side of the map and work your way to the first Monster Hunt.
  • Once there is one monster hunter left, change the WT to the highest level. This is super important! The reason for this is this will influence what gear you when turning in your quests—the lower the WT, the lesser quality the gear.
  • Turn in the quests at Trench Town.
  • If this is your first time completing the quest, you’ll be able to choose your gear. Otherwise, it will be auto-generated and placed into your backpack. You’ll also be provided a guaranteed legendary item for your efforts.

That’s it! You can repeat the monster hunt quests as many times as you’d like. That is until it is eventually nerfed.

Now, I know some people are going to say that this is not the fastest way to farm Legendaries and it isn’t. It is the easiest way, however. The better way is to farm the challenge tiers at the highest level you can, and as fast as you can. However, this is going to be quite a problem for players who don’t already have the best gear or a certain class. So if you want a way to start collecting legendaries, this is sit.
