‘Mortal Kombat’ Movie Hits A Slight Delay

It looks like fans of the upcoming ‘Mortal Kombat’ reboot will have to wait a bit longer, as HBO has pushed the movie back. Thankfully, the delay is only a week, pushing the movie from its original release date of April 16th to April 23rd, 2021.

As to why the movie was delayed, we don’t know. From the press release that WB provided, there was just the delay and nothing more. That said, I’m sure that one more week won’t cause anyone to cause any riots of anything. If we had to guess, WB wants to get as many ticket sales as possible before the movie hits. And seeing how they have a blockbuster title, Godzilla vs. King Kong, releasing tomorrow makes sense.

The Mortal Kombat reboot debuts on April 23rd, 2021, and will see a release on both HBO Max and theaters. Given that we’re still in the middle of a pandemic, I don’t see why anyone would want to risk anything by heading to the theaters.  As for myself, I’ll be enjoying the movie in the comfort of my home.

Now, I am still a bit “upset” that this movie has changed the formula and introduced a few different things, such as this new character, Cole, who the movie is centered around. Like, who the heck is this guy? And where the hell is Johnny Cage? Either way, I can’t wait to watch this flick. So April 23rd, I’ll be rocking out with this movie with the wifey. Hopefully, she doesn’t ask me which one is Chun-Li.

Are you going to be checking out the Mortal Kombat reboot? Are you excited about it? Let us know in the comments! MORTAL KOMBAT!
