Turtle Rock’s Back 4 Blood Has Been Delayed

Back 4 Blood has been pushed back to a much later release date. Today, Turtle Rock Studios announced via Twitter that Back 4 Blood, the spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, has slipped to October 12th, 2021. It was originally scheduled to be released on June 22, 2021.

Turtle Rock Studios is working hard to make Back 4 Blood the best game it can possibly be at launch and the team needs more time to do this. Therefore, we will release Back 4 Blood on October 12, 2021. We thank our community for its continued support and are excited to share there will be another beta this summer.

This seems to be a reoccurring theme with several games these past few months. Without being that person, ever since what happened with Cyberpunk 2077, more and more games have been delayed to devote more time to develop. Sadly, it took a failure of a much-hyped game to get developers and publishers to release that a delay is worth the wait. I’m happy to see that at least it is being acknowledged.

At the very least, we’ll get a beta this Summer 2021 that will show off a new build and far along the game has come. I’m all for the delay.

While we wait, you can check out our breakdown of the game here and some gameplay from one of our previous sessions below.

Back 4 Blood will release on October 12, 2021, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, and PC
