Resident Evil Village PC Specs Revealed, Ray-Tracing Supported

The often asked question regarding Resident Evil Village for PC has finally been answered. That being, what are PC specs required to play the game. Thankfully, both the minimum and recommended specs were revealed via the Resident Evil Village Steam page.
Below you can find all the technical stuff you’re looking for, and hopefully, you won’t need to upgrade your PCs, especially since finding CPUs and GPUs has been an exercise in frustration these past few months.

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-7500 | AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB VRAM | AMD Radeon RX 560 with 4GB VRAM
  • DirectX: Version 12

Recommended

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 8700 | AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 | AMD Radeon RX 5700
  • DirectX: Version 12

For both of these requirements, Capcom has stated that the resolution and frame rate is 1080p@60. The minimum specs are expected to see frame rate drops, while the recommended requirements should be fine.
There’s also a requirement for Ray-Tracing, which ups the GPU requirement to the Nvidia RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or above.

Ray-Tracing PC Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 8700 | AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 | AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
  • DirectX: Version 12

Ray-Tracing PC Recommended

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7 8700 | AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 | AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
  • DirectX: Version 12

The specs listed are much more demanding when compared against Resident Evil 7, but that’s to be expected. From what we’ve seen so far, the game looks to have a greater visual look. Capcom is looking to make sure that users don’t experience much if any performance-related issues when playing Resident Evil Village on PC.

Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7th, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
