Pyra and Mythra Detailed By Mr. Sakurai In Latest Video

By Todd BlackMarch 4, 2021
Pyra and Mythra Amiibo, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Xenoblade Chronicles

It’s been a little while since the announcement of Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 entering Super Smash Bros Ultimate. But today, we got our in-depth look at how the two characters will play in the game! The latest Mr. Sakurai Presents video broke down each character and how their moves, inherent abilities, and more would work in the game.

For example, Pyra is the powerhouse of the two, while Mythra is the speed demon. Their attacks reflect this as Mythra can do a series of attacks in a move while Pyra can only do one. Meanwhile, Pyra can do KO damage much easier than Mythra can.

As Mr. Sakurai notes, there’s going to be a lot of fun in deciding whom you’ll try and specialize in or whether you’ll do a swap-out strategy depending on the battle situation.

As usual, Mr. Sakurai also broke down things like the new stage “Clouds of Alrest,” detailed the 16 new music tracks from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that’ll be added into the game; there’s a series of new Mii Fighter outfits, and more!

Oh, and when can you get Pyra and Mythra in Super Smash Bros Ultimate? Later today!

Check out the full video below. It starts at the 30-minute mark.
