The staff at FanimeCon announced that due to the pandemic, rather than delaying their convention until 2022, they are opting to go the virtual route for this year’s event. There is no word if the event is being rescheduled; however, the physical event was slated to run from May 28 through May 31.
FanimeCon also announced that anyone who bought a ticket for 2020 had their validity rolled over to 2021. Due to the show going virtual, those tickets will also be good for the 2022 convention as well. As far as any lodging booking is concerned, FanimeCon will handle the cancelation of any hotel reservations through their FanimeCon block and those cancelations will not result in any penalties.
As of now, no guests have been announced for the virtual event.
