Halo Infinite is still coming to Xbox One

Nope, it’s still coming – don’t worry

It’s been a rough couple of months for Halo: Infinite, all of which lead to its eventual delay into late 2021. Of course, since this has all happened, there have been more than a few rumors floating around that Xbox and 343 Industries were looking to drop the Xbox One versions of the game and focusing on the Xbox Series X|S and PC version instead.

Then recently, it was noticed on a Linkedin profile of one Chad Mirshak, UI Art Lead for Halo Infinite, that he is working on the Xbox Series X|S and PC versions. Which led more people to believe the Xbox One version was canceled. Of course, 343i caught wind of this, and to set the record, yet again. This time by the Halo: Infinite Community Manager, John Junyszek, stepping in. In a short but sweet reply, he summed it all up by saying “Nope. Please let me enjoy the Holidays“.

Nope. Please let me enjoy the holidays 🤪

No blog post, no announcement from 343i, just a short and single answer. In all likelihood, John, like most of us, just wants to enjoy the holiday and worry about the rumors (or possible truths) until next year. I completely get that.

As for the Linkedin stuff, it was all a mistake. That person, the UI Art Lead for the game, simply forgot to add Xbox One to his experience but has since updated it. So, nothing to worry about for now. It’s still on for all Xbox platforms.

Microsoft has confirmed to us that Halo Infinite is still coming to the Xbox One. This was after a 343 employee didn't have "Xbox One" listed in their work bio for Infinite (now updated) pic.twitter.com/KuNI6VGftF

Halo: Infinite is scheduled for a late 2021 release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows 10. And yes, I’m still looking forward to it.
