Best iteration of Capcom’s This is true Love Makin’ I’ve heard

It’s been a while since I talked about some awesome video game music, so let’s correct that today.

Capcom, a company that many of us here are familiar with, has always been known for pumping out some amazing fighting games and along with those games some equally (or better) music. One of those games and one of my favorites is Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001. Not only did it remove the Ratio system that was featured in Capcom vs. SNK 1,  allowing players to pick and choose characters without penalty, it also added more playable characters from both companies and changed the button layout from 4 to 6. It also introduced us to more of Capcom’s quirky flair of music by adding several tracks with vocals.

One of which has become quite the fan-favorite that is “This is true Love Makin”.” It was weird when I first heard it as it felt out of place. Here I am playing a game about kicking the shit out of someone, and we’re listening to a woman telling us this is true love makin’. Um, sure… But oddly enough, and throughout the years, I’ve come to love this track. Since then, there have been many covers and remixes of the song, but the one I’m showcasing today is one that must be heard.

From YouTube channel DS Music, I feel this is easily one of the better covers of This is true Love Makin’, and I wanted to introduce it to you, our readers, just in case you’ve never heard it before. So, enjoy this, and I promise I won’t leave you hanging nearly as long next time.

DS Music also has several other gaming-related musicals that I highly recommend checking out as well. It’s just a little bit of heaven on a slightly rainy and disappointing Monday.
