Hyrule Warriors Age Of Calamity Has Already Sold 3 Million Units

By Todd BlackNovember 24, 2020

Hyrule Warriors Age Of Calamity is not only one of the more unique titles on the Nintendo Switch, but it’s the biggest title coming out this holiday season for the Nintendo Switch. There was a lot of pressure on this game to not just do well, but to show that this game was worth playing. And so far, it’s done exactly that, in spades.

Just on the review front Hyrule Warriors Age Of Calamity has done well, getting favorable reviews from various outlets (our review is coming as well!) and gamers loving all the various details and references to Breath of the Wild in the title. But now, we have even further proof of its success.

According to Famitsu, Age of Calamity has already sold over 3 million units as of today. That means the game has already surpassed the sales of the original Hyrule Warriors title in a fraction of the time!

The reason for this may honestly be because of the love for the Breath of the Wild and that the Switch has an install base of 70 million versus the Wii U’s less than 15 million. Plus, Nintendo was very smart in marketing the game via teasing elements and doing small trailers and reveals to hype up the game.

Will you be able to prevent the Calamity? Get the title and find out for yourself!
