Xbox Series X and S pre-orders go live tomorrow, here are some tips on how to snag one

Xbox Series X and S Pre-order

Tomorrow, both the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles will go pre-order at multiple retailers and Microsoft’s website.

Of course, this also means that if you’re going to be attempting to pre-order a console for yourself, you’ll be competing with thousands of other hopeful gamers but also person running bots for the sole reason of profit. We’ve already seen this with the PlayStation 5 and Nvidia’s RTX 3080 graphics card. And I fully expect tomorrow to be the same.

Pre-order 👉 September 22

Worldwide launch in 36 countries 👉 November 10

Hype 👉 9000+

Helpful tips on snagging an Xbox Series X or S pre-order

So here are some helpful tips for anyone who’s trying to snag an Xbox Series X or Series S tomorrow.

  • Wake-up on time! These pre-orders will likely go fast.
  • Pre-orders start on September 22, 2020, at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. Microsoft’s store, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, Target, Sam’s Club, Newegg, and other retailers will be offering pre-orders. There are high chances that many of these websites will experience high traffic, so have a few of them bookmarked and ready to.
  • If you’re planning on camping outside a store, be sure to call ahead to local retailers, such as GameStop. I can’t speak for everyone, but I did speak with the GameStop in my area and I was told they were provided less than 20 pre-orders for that store.
  • Make sure you have your wallet, purse, credit card, or whatever you’re using to pay, at the ready. The last thing you’ll want is to miss out because you don’t save your payment information and you don’t know where it is.
  • Out of all the locations that you can pre-order your console, only Amazon will not require any money down. As long as you have a valid payment on file, you’re ok. GameStop will require some money down and it varies from store to store and only if you go to the brick and mortar store. Everyone else will require full payment.
  • Get your family and friends involved. See if your buddies or family members can try and snag a console for you. That way it will be easier on you, and vice versa.

There’s always Xbox All-Access

In addition to pre-ordering an Xbox Series X or S, Microsoft is also offering its Xbox All Access program. Instead of purchasing the consoles outright, you’d be able to finance either console for 24 months with ZERO interest. The Xbox Series X is priced at $34.99 for 24 months, while the Xbox Series X is priced at $24.99 per 24 months. Included in that pricing is 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as well. Once the console is paid off, it’s yours.

Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Microsoft’s store will be offering the Xbox All Access program.

This makes Xbox All Access an attractive incentive for anyone who doesn’t want to fight the crowds. However, keep in mind that since it is a financing plan it does incur a credit check which will impact your credit. So if you have no credit or bad credit, you’d be better off trying to get a console by paying for it in full.

Lastly, pre-orders with Xbox All Access will not be available in Canada, France, Poland, and South Korea on September 22, 2020. It will be available before the launch of the Xbox Series X and S, however, Microsoft has yet to provide a date as of yet.

Good luck to everyone! I’m hoping this goes a lot smoother than the PlayStation 5 pre-orders, but given the hype and the shortage of the consoles, these are going to go fast.
