Crytek has released the first in-game screenshot from the upcoming Crysis Remastered for PC

By Keith MitchellSeptember 6, 2020

Earlier today, the official Crysis Twitter accounted posted the first in-game image from the upcoming Crysis Remaster. Accompanying the screenshot was the message “We want to show you, for the very first time, an in-game screenshot using the new “Can it Run Crysis?” Graphic mode, which is designed to demand every last bit of your hardware with unlimited settings – exclusively on PC!”

Today's post is dedicated to our PC community!

We want to show you, for the very first time, an in-game screenshot using the new "Can it Run Crysis?" Graphic mode, which is designed to demand every last bit of your hardware with unlimited settings – exclusively on PC! pic.twitter.com/kVHEf63oWe

A first glance, you can already see quite a few differences from the original Crysis that released back in 2007. Of course, I would have much rathered to have sen some in-game footage, but this will image do.

In this screenshot, we can see that fog is heavily used in the background, while the vegetation is more varied, while the draw distance has been improved. It will be interesting to finally see how this plays on our PCs when this is released later this month. Especially since Crytek is stating this remaster will push our PCs to the limit – which is even more reason why I want to see how the RTX 3080/3090 fares in this title.
