Astral Chain Celebrates First Anniversary with Art and Cake

By William "Shadowz" KokAugust 29, 2020

It has been one year since Platinum Games released the fantastic Nintendo Swicth title of Astral Chain. We reviewed the game & while it may not be everyone’s taste, it is a worthy addition to the Switch library.

On Twitter, One of the Directors for Astral Chain Takahisa Taura shared that Concept Artist Yuki Sada and Scenario Writer  Akiteru Naka drew illustrations to commemorate the one year anniversary of the game.  One with the cast members together while another is with the Akira twins with their legions in chibi form.

ASTRAL CHAIN concept artist Yuki Suda and scenario writer Akiteru Naka drew these illustrations to celebrate the game's first anniversary! It's made me extremely happy to see so many people playing ASTRAL CHAIN over the past year. Thank you very much!#ASTRALCHAIN pic.twitter.com/IqfJfzmKc9

Course with an anniversary, you got to have cake. Platinum games  shared a delicious looking cake with the game’s mascot Lappy being the central design.  Along with the Akira Twins designed Cookies.

Now I’m hungry for cake.

Overall, it is great that people still talk about the game after one year. From its great action and the uniqueness of gameplay, Platinum continues to show why they are top tier when it comes to the genre. Here is hoping that many more will play this game. Here is also hoping we also we may get a possibility for sequel as well.

Once again congrats to Platinum Games for this hallmark.
