Sign-up to be the first of many to secure a PlayStation 5 pre-order

If you’re one of the millions looking to secure a PlayStation 5 pre-order, you might want to be head over to the PlayStation 5 website… right now. Not to long ago, PlayStation posted a page where you can sign-up to be selected to pre-order the PlayStation 5. If selected, you’ll be sent an email invite which will allow you to pre-order either favor of the PlayStation 5.

According to the PlayStation FAQ created for this, these pre-orders are limited to one PlayStation 5 person PlayStation ID. As for how you’ll be selected, it looks as if you’re PlayStation history and activities will play a big factor in it. So if you’ve left your PlayStation 4 to sit and collect dust, never playing games on it, your chances might be lower. Of course, that’s all speculation on my part. Good luck, regardless!

This selection is also limited to the US, and if you happen to win and aren’t located in the country, your order will be canceled.

Should you get an invite, you’ll have a limited time to purchase your PS5 and a few accessories. You can find just what you can purchase if selected, below.

  • 1 PS5 Console or 1 PS5 Digital Edition
  • 2 DualSense wireless controllers
  • 2 DualSense charging stations
  • 2 Pulse 3D wireless headsets
  • 2 Media remotes
  • 2 HD Cameras

And while there’s no mention of a price, this could be a matter of frustration for many. Imagine signing up, being selected only to not have enough money to purchase the console. I’d be more than upset since PlayStation has been playing this game of chicken with not just Microsoft, but the consumers as well. A price point would have been nice to right about now.

Oddly enough, since we’re able to pre-order the console, the price will be listed. So one way or another, we’ll find out what the price is soon… unless PlayStation is already planning on dropping the price. Gamescom Online starts tomorrow/this evening and what better time to announce the price of the PS5 than during this event?

So if you’re looking to get in on that PlayStation 5 action, sign on up and make sure you keep checking your inbox. You might just get that golden ticket and you don’t want to miss out. Assuming you have enough money stored away, that is.
