Arcade1Up’s next round of arcade cabinets are now showing up on Best Buy

By Keith MitchellAugust 6, 2020

A few months ago, Arcade 1Up officially revealed several mini-arcade cabinets that were originally shown off during CES 2020. Among these are X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom, Big Buck Hunter, and Ms. Pac-Man. Now, those cabinets have been spotted online at several locations, available for pre-order.

Ever since I finished adding an addition to my family’s basement, I’ve started setting up a mini-arcade of sorts, and as such I’ve been on the hunt of Arcade 1Up machines. I have been searching every few days for some deals, and to see when Arcade1UP would finally release the new round of mini-cabinets. Now it looks like it will be released sooner than expected, along with the other games announced.

Currently, the following are now listed on Best Buy’s website:

Big Buck Hunter – $549.99 (No release date listed). Includes Buck Hunter Pro, Big Buck Hunter Safari, Big Buck Hunter Outback and Big Buck Hunter Open Season
Marvel vs Capcom – $499.99, also includes the riser (Oct 1, 2020 release date) and is available for pre-order.
Ms. Pac-Man – $449.99, also includes riser (August 10, 2020 release date). Includes Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Mania, Pac-Man Plus, and Galaxian.
Ms. Pac-Man Head 2 Head – 499.99. Includes Ms. Pac-Man, Super Pac-Man, Pac-Land, Pac-Mania, Galaxian, Galaga, Dig Dug, and Dig Dug II.

Oddly enough, when you go to Arcade1Up’s website, they state that the X-Men vs Street Fighter is available for pre-order, but when you click the link it takes you to Best Buy’s Marvel vs Capcom listing.

Originally there were two cabinets; the X-Men vs Street Fighter and the Marvel vs Capcom, each with slight differences in included games. The XMVSF machine included X-Men: Children of the Atom, X-Men vs Street Fighter, X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse, and Marvel vs Capcom. While the Marvel vs Capcom machine includes Marvel vs Capcom: Clash of Heroes, X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter,Marvel Super Heroes. I’m not sure what’s going here, but here’s to hoping both machines are going to be released and this just a mistake.

Either way, I already dropped my cash on the Marvel vs Capcom machine. One more for my mini-arcade. Are you looking forward to any of these cabinets? Let us know in the comments!
