Blightbound 0.1.2 Patch Had a”Brutal Bug”

By Conner BAugust 4, 2020

Blightbound is a multiplayer dungeon crawler that tasks the player and two others to venture down from the safe haven of the mountains and to battle a blight that has taken over the land. Entering early access on July 29th Blightbound has received mostly positive reviews on Steam but like any early access game, there have been issues. Today the developers released a patch with some of the following notes:

  • Fixed a desync issue that caused the connection to be lost after playing several matches with the same party. (There might be more desync bugs but we expect this to be a good improvement. Please let us know if you still get desyncs.)
  • Fixed an issue that in rare cases caused a player to be stuck in a loading screen forever.
  • Fixed a crash on exit.

However, mere minutes after the patch released Ronimo Games had to rescind that patch and update the notes with the following:

  • We had temporarily taken this patch offline due to it containing a brutal bug. That bug has been fixed now and the patch is live again.

The patch has now been re-released and the full patch notes have been placed live on their website. For full details on the patch notes click here.

Blightbound is available right now on Steam. Please be aware that Blightbound is in early access so bugs are to be expected, if you are having issues with the game be sure to leave a message on the forums to help the developers fix the issue.

The resident Brit of Outerhaven, however, don't expect refinement from me as I swear like a sailor and I will die on the hill I chose to fight on.
