Shadow Warrior 3 “Way to Motoko” playthrough gameplay goes live today

By Keith MitchellJuly 20, 2020
Shadow Warrior 3 Announcement

Yes, Shadow Warrior 3 is definitely a thing and we’re going to see more of it very soon. Like today soon!

While the follow-up to Shadow Warrior 2 was only recently announced, we did get some gameplay during the 2020 Devolver Digital Livestream, even if it was very short. To make up for that, developer Flying Wild Hogs and Devolver Digital are hosting 17-minutes of gameplay footage. Entitled “Way to Mokoto”, this new gameplay will go live today at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET.

So what’s new with Shadow Warrior 3? While we don’t know everything, there are a couple of things to talk about such as a new grappling hook which will allow Wang to access new levels of vertically. A new glory kill system, which looks to be rather gruesome and the procedural map placement from Shadow Warrior 2 is going away in favor and going back to the games’ roots.

I’m sure we’ll learn more about the game during today’s new gameplay. I’m looking forward to this as I’m a fan of the series and have been for quite some time. We even reviewed Shadow Warrior 2 for the PC, you should check out that review.

Shadow Warrior 3 is slated to be released for PC (Steam) in 2021. There’s currently no word on a PlayStation or Xbox version as of yet.
