Xbox Games Showcase Announced for July 23rd

By Austin Douglas FordJuly 6, 2020

Xbox has just announced the Xbox Games Showcase will be streamed live on Twitch and Youtube on July 23rd at 9am PDT/12pm EDT, following a slew of leaks previously pinning down the date.

If you’ve been living under a rock or have been in a coma for the last 3 months, Microsoft held their Third Party Games Reveal Event as part of their Xbox 20/20 event series back in March to overall poor fan reception. Since then, the console brand has stayed radio silent on when we’d see the previously announced First Party event, and it was likely to take fan feedback into consideration and rework what the showcase was meant to represent.

There are several games that are supposed to be shown off here including a personally anticipated title in Halo Infinite, along with games like Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, and the rumored Fable and Perfect Dark reboots. Xbox has acquired a number of studios over the last 2 years and we’re sure to see what a lot of them have been working on all this time.

The Xbox Series X is currently slated to release Holiday 2020, a price point has yet to be announced.

They say everything's bigger in Texas, and Austin is no exception. Barely a 90's kid, Austin longs for the return of platformers, specifically Jak and Daxter, just don't tell him it'll never actually happen. He enjoys stand up comedy, occasionally performing in local scenes around San Antonio and Austin, and playing a myriad of different games. He also has an aggressive obsession with Superman.
