Crash Bandicoot 4 developer states game will not include microtransactions

While Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s about time was only recently released, many fans of the series questioned if the game would include microtransactions. However, according to the developer, Toys for Bob, the game will NOT include any microtransactions.

In a recent Twitter post, they stated they want to be crystal clear about thier stance on microtransactions.

We're seeing confusion about #MTX in @CrashBandicoot 4 and want to be 💎 clear: There are NO MICROTRANSACTIONS in #Crash4. As a bonus, the Totally Tubular skins are included in all digital versions of the game.

While they are being upfront about this, I can see why fans are still worried about this. For starters, the remaster of Crash Bandicoot racing also did not have any microtransactions, that is until it was released and then added them. This is the main reason fans aren’t sure that this won’t happen again with Crash Bandicoot 4.

You simply have to take a step back and realize what sort of state the gaming industry is in if every developer has to make it as transparent that microtransactions won’t be included in thier game. Maybe I’m just an old man who’s stuck in the past but shouldn’t it be the other way around? Where developers should be transparent that microtransactions ARE going to be included and not the other way around?

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will release on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this October 2nd, 2020.  There’s no word on if the title will also see a Switch and PC release. Though if the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is any indication, the game will eventually make it to those platforms.
