Final Fantasy 7 Remake pre-loads start today, final trailer released

We’re one week away from the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, that is unless you live in Australia, then you’re playing it now. Due to several ISPs and content providers such as the PlayStation Network lowering the available bandwidth so that there is enough to go around, Square Enix has started the Final Fantasy 7 Remake digital pre-loads early.

Starting today, April 3rd, 2020, if you’ve pre-ordered the digital version of the game, you can now start downloading it.

“We know that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and many people having to stay at home, some of you may be experiencing extra pressure on your internet bandwidth. We wanted to give all our fans some extra time to download the game,”  said Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of the game.

The game spans two Blurays and sits at 100GB for download, if not more. So allowing an early pre-load was a smart move on Square Enix’s part. Especially since the last few days leading up to the release of the game are going to be busy and tough on most internet connections.

There are two versions of the digital version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The digital edition, priced at $59.99 and the digital deluxe version priced at $79.99.

If you do pick up the digital edition, you’ll also get the following bonuses:

  • Final Fantasy 7 Remake Theme
  • Digital Artbook
  • Digital Mini-Soundtrack
  • Cactuar Summoning Materia
  • Carbuncle Summoning Materi

In addition to this, a new and final trailer (no pun intended) was also released for the game. Give it a watch below.

I can’t believe that this game is almost here. After the delays, the development woes and now COVID-19, the wait is almost over. I still remember playing this game so many years ago, but as we all know this isn’t the same game. There are several changes to the story, the real-time combat system and more in store for gamers will the game releases on April 10th, 2020. Yes, this is still only a portion of the game, but we can’t do anything about that, can we?

I can’t wait, can you?
