New Ghost of Tsushima story trailer, release date slated for June 26

By Keith MitchellMarch 5, 2020

Well, how about that? After months of delay, with many still believing that Ghost of Tsushima would be a PS5 title, we finally have a release date. And get this, the game is releasing sooner than expected, on June 26, 2020. Looks like Summer 2020 is going to be busy.

In today’s new trailer, we’re introduced to a bit more story from the game, where we meet Jin Sakai, the character we’ll be playing as and some of the surrounding cast. In addition to the trailer, we’re also treated to the Ghost of Tsushima special editions. First up is the Digital Deluxe edition which includes a copy of the game, in-game content (horse, saddle, mask, sword, and armor set for Jin, Charm of Hachiman’s Favor and one technique point) is included. As is a Samurai PS4 dynamic theme, and a digital mini-art book. This is priced at $69.99.

Then there’s the Ghost of Tsushima Special Edition, a physical edition that includes everything from the Digital Deluxe edition, plus a steel book. This is also priced at $69.99.

Lastly, there’s a really huge and experience edition, Ghost of Tsushima Collector’s edition. Priced at $169.99, this bundle includes everything from the previous editions, a replica mask of the one you’ll wear in-game,  a 4.5-foot long war banner to hang on your walls. As well as a steel book, a 48-page physical art book and a world map from the game printed on cloth. I think this is the one I’ll be going for. I love my big and shiny collector editions, not so much my wallet.

Currently, both physical editions are up for pre-order on Gamestop. So if you’ll excuse me, I need to head up to the store to get my pre-order in.

Ghost of Tsushima releases on June 26, 2020, for the PlayStation 4.
