Nintendo “Outlines” 2020 Game Release Schedule For Nintendo Switch

By Todd BlackJanuary 20, 2020
Xenoblade Chronicles

Comparing 2019 to 2020, Nintendo is in a very different place. 2019 was their best year sales-wise for the Switch, and much like 2017 (the systems launch year), they had an incredible lineup of games to wow fans. Going into 2020, fans aren’t quite sure what all is coming to the Nintendo Switch, so, the Big N decided to “alleviate” those fears by dropping an infographic.

The list is in two parts as you’ll see below, it features the games that have definitive release dates (it should be noted that this list was sent out to people in Europe so the dates are slightly off possibly) including the recent release of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, as well as games that are set to release this year but don’t have a date yet like Bravely Default II and Xenoblade Chronicles Remastered Edition.

Check it out:

The problem here is that there aren’t a lot of true Nintendo exclusives on this list. In fact, at present, and not including DLC/expansions, there are only 3 1st party games on this list via Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Animal Crossing, and Xenoblade Chronicles. Now yes, there are 3rd party exclusives like Bravely Default II and No More Heroes to look forward to, but that’s another kettle of fish.

Many are hoping that a Nintendo Direct comes soon to truly outline what to look forward to on the Nintendo Switch this year. But when that will happen? No one knows.

For our thoughts on this, stayed tuned on Friday for the next episode of the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast!
