In about 30 minutes from now, Nintendo and Masahiro Sakurai will either shock or upset the world with the fifth DLC character to be revealed in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The Livestream will start at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET and will run for 35-minutes. During this time, Sakurai will provide an in-depth look at the new fighter and possibly more.
This new fighter will the fifth fighter and will join the ranks of Piranha Plant, the Dragon Quest Hero, Persona 5’s Joker, Banjo Kazooie, and SNK’s Terry Bogard. Whoever it ends up being will also be the last reveal for this the current Super Smash Bros. Ultimate season pass.
As for this new character is, well that’s anyone’s guess. So far, we’ve seen A number of different guesses, including Dante (Devil May Cry), Sora (Kingdom Hearts), Monster Hunter characters, any member from Battletoads and even Master Chief. And yes, we’re still seeing anime characters also being requested, despite claims that only video game characters will make it into the game.
