Disney+ Reveals Some Big Titles for its 2020 Lineup

Disney+ may have launched this year, but 2020 is when its programming is going to kick into high gear. To get people hyped for what’s to come, they’ve put out a video highlighting their line-up and boy, are there some fun entries:

There are a few logical additions, like the live-action Lion King and Aladdin movies as well as Toy Story 4, which we knew would cross over. However, there are lots of little surprises to be found. On the less exciting end of things, we see an (potential) adaptation of the popular YA novel Stargirl, a middle grade drama called Diary of a Future President, a kid’s show called Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made, and teen drama entitled Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Not a lot of details on any of these but generally some cool concepts.

We see there’s going to be a Toy Story 4 prequel series called Lamp Life about Bo Peep’s time in the antique shop. Short Circuit will be a collection of short, experimental films a la Pixar shorts. There will be some new nature shows as well as a second season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (which honestly, why does this exist?). Phineas and Ferb are getting a new movie called Candace Against the Universe. Millennials can rejoice and/or cringe with the continuation of Lizzie McGuire, set to star Hilary Duff. Star Wars fans will get both Clone Wars and a second season of The Mandalorian.

For Marvel fans, however, the big news is that The Falcon and Winter Soldier will be coming out as well as Wandavision. Neither of them came with live action clips, but the image for Wandavision has a human Vision and Scarlet Witch sitting on a couch in 1950s dress, so that’s going to be weird. No word yet on the Loki series.

No set sates for any of these series, so we’ll just have to wait and see when the official dates come through.

A reporter by trade, Sara is a lover of horror, sci-fi, and all things pop culture. From indies to classics to even the strangest schlock, all movies and TV shows are fair game. She believes Batman is the most fascinating superhero, and that Silent Hill is one of the best horror franchises ever made (as long as you don't count the movies). Fun Fact: The only movie Sara will not rewatch is The Room -- once was more than enough.
