Shin Megami Tensei V Is Still In Production ATLUS Reports

By William "Shadowz" KokDecember 28, 2019

It has been a long time since we heard anything asides from the reveal trailer of the next entry of Shin Megami Tensei. What feels to be eternity, many fans are losing patience and wonder the current states of development or if it was cancelled. Thankfully ATLUS gave some life line that Shin Megami Tensei V is still in development, alongside Project ReFantasy.

As reported on Persona Central, In the recent issue of Famitsu, there is a article spot highlighting the New Years Cards for 2020 of game developers, ATLUS included.

On their New Year’s Cards, it says as such :

Both Shin Megami Tensei V and Project Re Fantasy are under active development.

While this is not very reassuring, it is at least acknowledgement that the game is still alive and well. They were expected to release some update in 2019, but sadly this did not occur.

It has been 2 years since the reveal trailer for the game. Since then, nothing else was updated. Here is hoping that we finally have some news, any news in the new decade.

Shin Megami Tensei V is still in development for Nintendo Switch.
