Shintaro Kojima Leaves Capcom

By Josh PiedraDecember 17, 2019

Shintaro Kojima has announced on Monday that he has decided to leave Capcom. Kojima is best known as a producer on the Monster Hunter series of games ever since the games debuted back on the PlayStation 2 in 2004. He also worked on the Ace Attorney prequel title Dai Gyakuten Saiban, which released in July 2015.

Kojima expressed his gratitude for the company as well as his colleagues, stating that they have nothing but passing for games. He looks to continue the support Capcom as a fan of gaming. When he addressed what is next for him, Kojima didn’t give an answer as to where he believes he will land. Instead, he simply said that his top priority right now is to get some rest.

You may need some help from Google Translate but you can see the tweet that Kojima posted below:

ご報告。
カプコンを退社いたしました。

素敵な会社でしたし開発メンバーは情熱的で素晴らしく感謝しかありません。
今後はイチファンとして応援いたします♪
お世話になった方々、本当にありがとうございました!

個人的な今後はひとまずまったりです。
またなんか面白い事はやれればと思ってます。
