Surprise State of Play to take place on December 10th

Just like myself and other people had speculated, PlayStation was going to host one more State of Play. Sort of like a “Surprise” and sure enough, that’s exactly what was announced this morning.

On Tuesday, December 10th, 2019 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET, one last State of Play will be shown. However, this show is going to be a bit different compared to the previous ones. This time, the show is going to be longer than 20 minutes and PlayStation has stated we’ll see some game reveals.

2019's final episode of State of Play kicks off Tuesday, December 10 at 6:00am Pacific Time: https://t.co/pKfthQiDvh 20+ minutes of news, game reveals, and updates pic.twitter.com/pAQr7ZTHwL

Wait, new game reveals? So like the rumored but not really a rumor Resident Evil 3? The same game that several pieces of cover art were find floating on the PlayStation servers? We may also hear about the new (rumored) Crash Bandicoot Worlds game. According to the leaks, this game is in development by Toys for Bob (Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy) and will see a 2020 release. So that’s two “rumored” games that we could possibly hear about.

In all likelihood, we’ll also get an update on the status of The Last of Us: Part II. The game was pushed back several months so Naughty Dog could put some more polish into the game.  I’m sure fans are looking for an update. Lastly, I suspect we’ll finally hear something about Ghost of Tsushima. A game that was supposed to already be available for the PlayStation, but has been going through “development hell”. We haven’t heard anything about the game since E3 2019. Hopefully, if we do hear about the game that it’s good news.

Sadly, if you wanted to hear about the PlayStation 5, then you’re going to be disappointed. As the company has already stated that they won’t be talking about their next-generation console. That will have to wait until next year.

What are you looking for from the last of State of Play for 2019? Let us know in the comments below.
