The 2019 Game Awards Show will include ten new games but no Resident Evil 3

During a recent Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything), Geoff Keighley, host of the 2019 Game Awards Show what we can expect during the event. According to Keighley, there will be about 10 new games that will be revealed. That’s in addition to the games we’ve already heard of.

We have a bunch of brand new games being announced at the show — I think there are around 10 new games/projects being revealed if you want to count the things that no one has heard about yet. As always the Internet has a lot of really bad information out there about what you think is at the show…but it sure is fun to read :)

So that’s something to look forward to. However, with the good news comes the bad. He also confirmed that there will be no showing of Capcom’s current worse kept secret, Resident Evil 3 Remake.

There are no plans (never were) to do anything with Resident Evil 3 at the show. A lot of these “leaks” are completely wrong. Nothing about our show has leaked as of this writing.

A bummer for sure if you (like me) were looking forward to Capcom officially letting the cat out of the bag. And seeing how nothing regarding the show has been leaked, that means we’re going to see stuff that should surprise us all.

The 2019 Game Awards Show will air on December 12 at 5:30 PM PT / 8:30 PM ET and will be shown on most major networks. As well as streamed on Twitch, YouTube, Mixer, Facebook, Twitter, Steam, PlayStation and Caffeine. It’s being streamed everywhere basically, so there’s zero chance you’ll miss it.

As for Resident Evil 3, I still feel we’ll see something at a surprise State of Play end before the year’s end.
