Pokemon Sword and Shield Show Of More Gigantamax Pokemon!

By Todd BlackOctober 16, 2019
Pokemon Sword and Shield

We are now officially only a month away from the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield, and true to form, Nintendo and Game Freak have continued to eek out information via their string of 2-3 minute trailers. And the latest one focuses on brand new Gigantamax Pokemon that you can use in battle!

To refresh, in the Galar Region, you can use a special device to turn your Pokemon into massive Kaiju via Gigamax. But then, certain Pokemon can go beyond that and become Gigantamax Pokemon! These versions have unique abilities that can help change the flow of battle.

In the trailer below, Kanto legends Pikachu, Eevee, Butterfree and Charizard are all shown to be Pokemon that can have this ability to go Gigantamax. The Pikachu, Eevee, and Meowth version can be gotten via play data from Pokemon Let’s Go, or, in the case of Meowth, by getting the game before January 15th.

Pokemon Sword and Shield arrives on Nintendo Switch on November 15th.
