Destiny 2: Shadowkeep’s launch trailer has me hyped

By Keith MitchellSeptember 25, 2019
Shadowkeep

You should be as well!

It goes without saying that I’m extremely hyped about the upcoming expansion, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, for various reasons. Seriously, have you watched the trailer?

We’re heading back to the Moon, which is a place I’ve missed since the first game. Now only that, we’re getting finishing moves, the upgraded Armor system, new exotics, a new dungeon, and a new raid. There’s also a battle pass that works similarly to that of Fortnite. here players will be rewarded via activities, story progression, and seasonal ranks. Oh, did I mention that Artifacts, which were first introduced in Destiny: The Taken King, are making a return? Of course, that’s just the tip of the iceberg, there’s so much stuff packed in this expansion.

Don’t forget about the free to play version of the game, Destiny 2: New Light, either. Sure, it may be a free to play game but don’t think for a moment that this means it will be light on content (pun intended). For starters, it includes all of the content of the Destiny 2 base game,  content from the first two expansions Curse of Osiris and Warmind, access to the full PvE strikes playlist, all the competitive PvP playlists and maps, and the Gambit. New Light will also have access to the Shadowkeep’s Moon area, without any need for either the Forsaken or Shadowkeep expansions. They just won’t have full access to everything, just a taste.

Needless to say, Bungie is bringing the heat when Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launches on Oct. 1st, 2019. It will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam). Yep, I said Steam, as Destiny 2 to Steam as of Oct. 1st as well. You did already get your guardian/s ready for the migration, right? If not, you might want to get a move on as once Shadowkeep gets here, Destiny 2 will no longer be playable on Battle.net.

Bring on the 1st, I’m ready!
