Incoming Monster Hunter World: Iceborne beta for PS4 and Xbox One

By Keith MitchellAugust 26, 2019
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

While PlayStation4  players got a chance to check out Monster Hunter World: Iceborne during June 2019. Now, the Xbox One is getting on the action with another upcoming beta. Starting on August 30th – September 1st, 2019, Capcom will be releasing the beta for the PS4. Following up with the Xbox One beta from September 2nd – September 4th, 2019.

Players are not required to own the base game of Monster Hunter World. However, if you plan on picking up the game once it’s launched, you’ll need either the base game or pick up a copy of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition.

This upcoming beta looks to be similar to the previous PS4-only beta, with one key difference. Four different quests will be available, that range from beginner to expert. For beginners, they’ll get to hunt down the Great Jaguars, while intermediates will try their luck again the new wyvern Banbaro. For those who love a challenge, the Tigrex is waiting for you. I remember the Tigrex from previous Monster Hunter games, it’s not an easy task to take it down. Lastly and more importantly, players will be able to battle against the new Elder Dragon, Velkhana, who wasn’t present in the previous beta. I may have to check this beta out just to get my butt kicked by this beast. Should you win, you’ll score some consumable items that will be available in the full game.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne releases for the PS4 and Xbox One on September 6th, 2019. A PC version is also being released but has been delayed until January 2020.
