Remedy’s Control Has Officially Gone Gold

YES!

The fine folks over at Remedy have announced that their upcoming title, Control, has gone gold today. We’ve got a little more than a month before the game is finally released now.

News of the announcement was shared via Twitter, by @Mikael Kasurinen, one of the directors of Control. “It is done. New IP, new tech, new game structure, new direction, three platforms. And three years. What an achievement from the best dev team on the planet!” exclaimed Mikael. As you can imagine, after three years of working on Control, the team is proud of their work and likely can’t wait for their labors to be played by all.

Following the announcement, there were more than a fair share of eager fans that were wishing congratulations to Remedy. While some others were just being their causal internet-selves.

While I haven’t had the pleasure of playing the game, I’ve been following it and everything I’ve seen and heard is very encouraging. I’ve enjoyed Remedy’s previous offerings, Quantum Break and Alan Wake (we need more of this), so I can’t wait to finally get my hands on this title as well.

As for the PC version, I’m really excited about this release. Mostly due to Remedy stating a while back that they really wanted the PC version to stand out. They want it to be the best version of the game and I’m really hoping that it ends up that way. If you’re picking it up on PC, like I am, then you should definitely make sure your PC is up to the task.
