Pokemon Masters Coming Summer 2019

By Todd BlackJune 27, 2019
Pokemon Masters

Today, a special 8-minute video was shown off to detail more about the upcoming mobile game collaboration between DeNA and The Pokemon Company. The game was shown off in style via a couple minute anime-style trailer. One that showed many legendary Pokemon trainers and Gym Leaders teaming up with playable characters in dramatic ways. If you listen closely, you’ll hear the actual voice actors for certain characters from the anime.

Moving on, the game got much more details this go around, for in the world of Pasio, you and all sorts of trainers from games past and present are on a quest to win the Pokemon Masters League. But to do this, you must team up with other trainers, battle other trios, and earn badges. That’s right, in this Pokemon game, you’ll be doing constant 3-v-3 battles. But in a twist, each trainer on the island only has one Pokemon “attached” to them, called “Sync Pairs”.

As you progress through the story, you’ll be able to “collect” other trainers so that you can make the team the way you want it. What’s more, not only do Pokemon have super special moves, but the trainers have abilities that can help turn the tide of battle.

Which is good, because unlike standard Pokemon titles, Pokemon Masters actually has you playing in real-time, with moves only being able to be used via a move gauge.

The biggest twist of all is that despite reports that the game will be releasing next year, the team revealed it’s actually going to release sometime this Summer! A bold new Pokemon world awaits us all.
