It has been 13 years since the Death Note manga concluded but it’s not done yet! Takeshi Obata, the artist behind the series (along with Bakuman and Platinum End) is bringing the manga back with a one-shot chapter. The announcement was made in the June issue of Shueisha’s Jump SQ magazine.
The story of the one-shot will be centered around the Shinigami and what happens when they descend to Earth.
The manga isn’t due out for a while but a portion of the manuscript will be made available from July 13 to August 12 during the 30th Work Anniversary Takeshi Obata Exhibition: Never Complete event which will be held at the Arts Chiyoda in Tokyo, Japan.
