This is Why I Love PC Gaming – Goku vs Master Chief in Jump Force

By Keith MitchellMarch 10, 2019
Master Chief in Jump Force

Say what you want, but mods are easily the single most reason why I love PC gaming. Simple mods that add in character skins, others than transform a game into something entirely different. Those talented and amazing modders deserve a lot of praise for what they’re able to accomplish. Speaking of which, one mod that introduces Halo’s Master Chief into Bandai’s Namco’s Jump Force simply needed to be seen.

This randomly showed up on my Twitter feed this morning and I wasn’t sure which one of my followers or people I follow it came from. All I know is this is really cool. It was created by Onifox, who has also worked on several Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Xenoverse mods as well.

Now, this video is more than just the mod, as YouTuber PS360HD2, added in the music, effects, and voices. The mod, however, is the star of the show. Just look at the animation, it looks like Master Chief was actually part of the game.  This mod places the Master Chief skin over Ryo Saeba’s (City Hunter) character in Jump Force. It replaces everything of the character, and according to Onifox, this is one of his more serious mods. It definitely shows.

There’s also nothing more satisfying than watching Chief putting in the work against Freiza. Kick his ass, Chief!

If you’re wanting to try the mod out for yourself, you can download it here.

Sadly, it seems that Onifox is getting out of the modding scene according to a video he posted recently. Which is a shame, as from what I’ve seen from him. He definitely has some talent. So while he’s closing up shop in the future, definitely give him a follow on Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch, to find out about more of his creative works of art. I know I will.

Jump Force is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
