The Pink Hangzhou Spark One Is Second

It’s been a little over a month since the new Overwatch League shop went up.  Overwatch League fans, myself included, have been able to purchase all kinds of merchandise including jerseys from the new expansion teams.  Now that some of the dust has settled since the store went up I thought I’d take a look at what the best selling jersey is.  I shouldn’t have been surprised to see number 99 at the top of the list.  

According to the top sellers setting for jerseys the dafran Atlanta Reign home kit is the top seller.  A player with arguably the best tracking  in the world, dafran is also a fan favorite with his is popularity dating back to the early days of Overwatch.  Daniel ‘dafran’ Francesca was at one point the top ranked player on NA servers in Overwatch and regularly streamed himself playing the game.  dafran came into controversy however when he streamed himself throwing competitive matches.  As a player who has been banned from the game by Blizzard it was a surprise to many when he was signed to the Atlanta Reign. 

Having kept an eye on the jersey page for the past few weeks I can confirm that number 99 has held this position nearly the entire time.  It’s main competitor has been the Hangzhou Spark home kit.  Not terribly surprising since that team not only has some of the best colors in the league, but is also fining some success in the Overwatch League currently sitting at the 11th spot on the table.
