Capom Has No Post-Launch DLC Plans For Devil May Cry V

By Keith MitchellFebruary 24, 2019
Devil May Cry 5

While a number of games had post DLC plans announce even before the game ended up being released. It would seem that Capcom has other plans for their upcoming hack and slash title, Devil May Cry V. Sure, we already knew about the Bloody Palace update as it was revealed during The Game Awards show back in 2018. This update will be free and will add a new mode to the game.

But what about content outside of the Bloody Palace? That’s what has been asked across multiple channels on the internet. However, a recent tweet that was directed to the producer of the game, Matt Walker, has finally provided us with an answer. To which is that Capcom has no plans for any other DLC at the moment.

Nope! Only plans currently are for BP. ^^

Seeing how Matt Walker is the producer, he’d know more about this than anyone. Right? Except I do recall that Hideaki Itsuno did mention that we could possibly see new characters being added in the form of DLC. Which would make sense as we know that both Lady and Trish are returning in Devil May Cry V. I’m also sure he knows how popular both of these characters are, so some DLC staring either of them would be something fans would eat up.  We could still definitely get this and more, just not so soon after the game is released.

Besides, with the return of the Bloody Palace, I’m sure fans of the game will have their hands full. Capcom has stated how many floors the update will include, but if it’s similar to the previous Blood Palace mode from the previous games. We’ll be quite busy for the foreseeable future.

Devil May Cry V releases on March 9, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, while the PC release date now seems to be in limbo.
