The Assassin’s Creed III Remaster Is Now Being Released As A Standalone Title

No longer tied to the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey season pass

Ubisoft has recently announced that they’re prepping to release the remastered version of Assassin’s Creed III as a standalone title for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Originally confirmed to be released as part of the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey season pass. The title is now being released as a standalone version on March 29, 2019, and is priced at $39.99. Which makes more sense as this no longer forces gamers to purchase a season pass or game that likely don’t have any interest in picking up.

Since this is a remaster, the game will include a number of enhancements. A graphical overhaul, updated gameplay mechanics and it will include all of the released DLC for Assassin’s Creed III. You can see some of the changes in the trailer below.

I suppose this is good news for fans of the title. As for me, I thought it was an “Ok” game, it wasn’t horrible by any means. After putting in so much time with the game, it never clicked with me. Mainly due to the pacing of the game, which hurt the appeal for me. I also thought they could have done more with the protagonist of the game, Connor. Then there are the bugs, the number of bugs that were frequent in the game.

Hopefully, those and the long loading issues that plagued the original release are addressed. I guess we’ll find out once the remaster drops this March 29, 2019.
