Mega Man’s Sales Figures Announced by Capcom

By Josh PiedraFebruary 5, 2019
mega man 11

Yesterday, Capcom put out their financial statement and cited some impressive numbers for Monster Hunter: World but they didn’t really say much about Mega Man 11 or the Mega Man X: Legacy Collection games outside of the fact that they had strong sales. What constituted as strong?

Today, Capcom answered that by releasing the sales figures for both of the Blue Bomber’s games!

Mega Man 11 sold 870,000 units while Mega Man X: Legacy Collection sold 920,000 units. These numbers are totals across all platforms which are PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Of course, nice even numbers like these are more or less approximations that the actual figures but those numbers are still impressive given the 7-year hiatus the series took.

Apparently, these numbers were enough to please Capcom as it has been heavily hinted that Capcom is working on another Mega Man title. There is no release for 2019 planned so one may assume a 2020 release of this new title is more likely. Outside of speculation, there is no confirmation on what the game could be.

For now, just enjoy Mega Man’s success!
