Attack on Titan Season 3 Reveals New PV, Linked Horizon’s Return

Attack on Titan

While the decision to split season 3 of Attack on Titan into two parts was announced in such a way where it felt like it came out of the blue, we did know that the second part of the season would air this April. On Sunday, Pony Canyon, in conjunction with Wit Studio, released the first promotional video for the season’s continuation which you can view below:

In addition to the promotional video, the official Twitter account for Attack on Titan announced that REVO and his band Linked Horizon will return to perform the opening theme song. Linked Horizon performed “Guren no Yumiya” as the initial opening, “Jiyuu no Tsubasa” as the first season’s second opening, “Shinzou wo Sasageyo” as the second season’s opening, and “Akatsuki no Requiem” the third season’s ending theme. The third season used X Japan’s YOSHIKI along with L’Arc en Ciel’s HYDE for the opening song and while “Red Swan” was an amazing throwback to 80’s rock ballads, many fans agreed, myself included, that it didn’t just fit the vibe that was Attack on Titan.

Also to note, Cinema Staff will be returning to perform the ending theme for part 2 of season 3. They previously performed “great escape” which served as the first season’s second ending theme.
