Overwatch League Season Two Jerseys Now On Sale

By James VerzuhJanuary 31, 2019
Overwatch Overwatch League OWL

They’re Finally Here And They Look Great

Today was a busy day for the Overwatch League.  No matches were played but some of the most anticipated news of the season broke this morning.  It all started with the biggest merchandise news since last season with the opening of the Overwatch League shop.  There are jerseys and more for all twenty teams as well as the League itself.

First announced back in December, this year’s gear is brought to us via Fanatics.  Traditional sports fans will recognize Fanatics as the company providing gear from major sports leagues such as the NFL, MLS, and MLB.  The original press release stated that Fanatic “will design and quickly distribute high-quality Overwatch League fan gear across all categories, including merchandise for league events and championships.”  We can expect then that any gear added throughout the season, such as for playoffs, will be on this site.

The Overwatch League Shop

The new shop is on it’s own site and looks like the online stores for any other professional sport.  There are options to search for gear by team and all twenty teams are represented.  For each team there are both home and away jersey options with many of the players jerseys available for both in sizes from XS to 4XL.  What is missing is the option to have customized jerseys, but those were also released later last season so it’s not too surprising not to see them day one.  Your basic jersey, home or away, will run you $59.99 before shipping.  For a player Jersey the price is a littler higher at $84.99.  Some teams, such as the Fusion, have vastly different kits to those from last year, while for others, like the Outlaws, they look mostly the same.

There are other styles of clothing available with t-shirts in men, women, and youth styles along with long sleeve shirts and hoodies.  Also present are OWL Profile Collection which show off each teams hometown and region in style.  Interestingly there is also some of the gear from the original twelve teams from last year such as socks and glasses.  It’s possible that these are the last of these products as none appear for the expansion teams.

Last but not least, there are a few collectibles for most of the teams.  Signed photos, hats, or home jerseys can be yours.  For most teams it seems that one or more popular players were selected to sign some products.  This marks an interesting, and to my knowledge, completely unique place for esports merchandise to go.

The second season of the Overwatch League is closer than ever.  Only two weeks separate us from the first match of the regular season, and now you can look your best as you cheer for your favorite team.  Don’t sleep on these though, last years jerseys sold out quick.
