David Tennant is one of those actors who always crops up in unexpected places. From playing Barty Crouch Jr. in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to voicing Scrooge McDuck in the latest Ducktales reboot, he’s always a pleasant surprise. Most well known as the 10th Doctor in Doctor Who, Tennant’s latest venture is into the world of podcasting. With a great Scottish accent, many would probably settle for him reading the phonebook. Luckily, they’re getting something better: David Tennant interviewing a bunch of British celebrities and some non-British ones as well!
In his upcoming podcast “David Tennant Does a Podcast With…” the Scottish celeb will interview a variety of actors, politicians, and other famous folks. According to the Mary Sue, his first guest will be Olivia Colman, who was recently nominated for an Academy Award for her role in The Favourite. Colman also starred alongside Tennant in British crime drama Broadchurch. Speaking of Broadchurch, who else starred in that? Current star of Doctor Who, Jodie Whittaker, of course! And rest assured, it’s already confirmed that Tennant will interview Whittaker, Doctor-to-Doctor.
Other guests include Sir Ian McKellen, Jon Hamm, Samantha Bee, and Whoopi Goldberg. What will they be talking about? Who knows! It’s David Tennant, so if nothing else the podcast will sound great and will probably provide a laugh or two. Find out next week when it comes out on iTunes.
