Chaos;Child Visual Novel Receives Release Date in U.S.

By Josh PiedraJanuary 15, 2019

Spike Chunsoft has announced that they are set to release 5pb and Nitroplus’ visual novel Chaos;Child on PC on January 22 via Steam. The visual novel will include both Japanese and English text options. If you grab it within the first week, you will be able to get it for a 10% discount and a limited edition 10-track soundtrack.

Spike Chunsoft describes Chaos;Child as follows:

It’s been six years since a massive earthquake leveled the city of Shibuya. Now, in October 2015, while researching a number of recent murders, Takuru Miyashiro realizes a horrible truth. These murders are the return of a series of killings that plunged Shibuya into terror six years ago. And at the same time, people called gigalomaniacs, with the powers to make their delusions real, are beginning to awaken…

The visual novel originally launched in Japan on December 18, 2014. Since then, it has inspired an anime adaptation that spanned 12 episodes during the Spring 2017 anime season. Chaos;Child is the sequel to Chaos:Head and is part of the first installment of visual novels which loosely tie into each other with the spiritual sequels being Steins;Gate and Robotics;Notes.
