Mob Psycho 100 II’s First Episode is Coming to U.S. Theaters

Mob Psycho 100 II

Crunchyroll and Fathom Events have announced a partnership for Crunchyroll Movie Nights! The first to get the theatrical premiere treatment will be the first episode of Mob Psycho 100 season 2. The first episode is expected to hit theaters on January 5, 2019, and will serve as an exclusive first look at the upcoming second season. In fact, the episode will be screening here in theaters before it even airs in Japan!

The screening is planned for 12:55 pm (local time) on 1/5 with tickets going on sale Friday, December 7. There are, currently, over 500 theaters in the U.S. that are participating in this event. Finding tickets to the screening can be done through Fathom Events’ official website: http://www.fathomevents.com

Crunchyroll subscribers will receive early access to tickets which is live now at the time of this posting! All Crunchyroll subscribers will also receive presale opportunities on all future Crunchyroll Movie Night events.

This is part of a plan between Crunchyroll and Fathom Events to bring more anime premieres to theaters across the U.S. This is a practice normally seen in Japan where popular series will either have their first or final episodes screened in theaters. Mob Psycho 100 II will also premiere on January 7, 2019 and will be simulcast on Crunchyroll after episodes air in Japan. Mob Psycho 100 II is being brought to Crunchyroll through a partnership with Warner Bros. Japan.

A promotional video for the event has been released by Crunchyroll which you can see below:
