Team Sonic Racing’s New Map “Whale Lagoon” Has Been Revealed

By Keith MitchellNovember 29, 2018
Team Sonic Racing - Whale Lagoon Track

It’s been a bit since Sega dropped some information regarding their upcoming cart racing game, Team Sonic Racing. But that’s all water under the bridge, as the next track, “Whale Lagoon”, the newest track has been revealed.

Taking place in an underwater landscape, racers will be able to see underwater creatures and more as they zoom to the finish line. As you can see in the image below, it looks like we’ll also have a whale, who’ll be popping up from time to time. Sadly, we don’t have any actual footage of this in action just yet. Still, seeing that whale jumping during a race should be impressive.

In addition to this, we also got a sample of the accompanying soundtrack for the stage. A remix of Sonic Heroes “Seaside Hill”, thanks to Jun Senoue and Hyper Potions. It’s very catching, while still being faithful to the original music.

Check out the music track, below.

Team Sonic Racing will be released on May 21, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC/Windows.
